Investigations, Condition Assessments,
Envelope and Facade Inspections, Remedial
Design, and Repair Cost Estimates

TES evaluates existing conditions of many types of building facades and structures, develops structural and facade maintenance programs, investigates failures, designs remedial repairs, and prepares repair-cost estimates. With a strong background in investigation and an established network of sub-consultants that provide complimentary services, we are well positioned to provide comprehensive structural investigation services at competitive rates.

Our investigations include building components of all material types (steel, concrete, stone, brick, tile, terra cotta, wood, aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, glass, FRP). Specific investigations include: tall structures using industrial rope access, facade ordinance inspections, wood piles, test pits, foundation settlement / cracks, Boston Brownstones, water testing, leak testing, fire escapes, roof capacity for solar systems, panels, rooftop units (RTUs), fire and water damage.

We tailor the scope of our investigation and condition assessment work to meet the needs of our clients while conforming to established standards of engineering practice. Much of our condition assessment work and documentation is based upon the Guideline for Structural Condition Assessment of Existing Buildings (SEI/ASCE 11) published by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

If problems are found, we can evaluate the extent of the damage or deficiency, design cost-effective repairs, estimate repair costs, assist in assembling a qualified team of contractors to perform the repair work, and monitor/manage the repair process.
